Pregnancy is a beautiful phase for women. Women are quite cautious and monitor every activity during their gestational period. One such frequently observed doubt is about pregnant ladies and exercising. A lot of women are apprehensive about the fact whether they should exercise or do any sort of physical work during pregnancy as it may harm the baby

We've got a few super women who will answer that question for you all.

Myth 1: Exercising during pregnancy is risky
Tennis player Serena Williams won her 23rd grand slam title at the Australian Open. She played rigorous sets and won the title while being in the early stages of pregnancy.

Myth 2: Avoid running as it can harm your baby

Kerri Walsh Jennings, won Olympic gold in 'Beach Volleyball' while being 5 weeks pregnant. Just to be clear, volleyball involves a lot of jumping, running and falling. 5 weeks means her first trimester!


Myth 3: You shouldn’t exercise post-delivery

Closer home, Kareena Kapoor Khan flaunted her baby bump breaking the stereotypes and made quite a statement. She walked the ramp for Lakme Fashion Week 2016, also attended red carpet events and did quite a few photo shoots throughout her pregnancy. She was more in the limelight during her pregnancy than otherwise. Post her delivery in December, there are videos of the actor going viral, as she is seen working out to shed kilos of post-pregnancy flab.


So for all you ladies, huge respect for being the super women that you are!
